NRG Park

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zones

At NRG Park, you will drop-off and pick-up at Yellow 35, gate 16B off Main St.

Are there event-day restrictions or closures?

NRG Park will have road closures and restrictions during major events like Houston Texans games and The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, but these will vary depending on the exact event. For the most accurate road restrictions during your event, we recommend calling NRG Park’s team at 832-667-1400.

Is there somewhere my bus can wait for me during the event?

Bus parking is available at many lots around the stadium, but you must pre-purchase parking and need to purchase at least 2 parking passes/spaces, or as many as your vehicle will occupy. The Houston Texans’ website provides this interactive map of NRG Park that shows where each parking lot is relative to the different buildings. Once you arrive, NRG Park staff will direct you to the designated RV area in your lot.

Where can I tell everyone to meet after the game?

Depending on which building you’ll be in, we recommend these places as meeting spots:

  • NRG Stadium
    • The Spirit of the Bull Statue, located at the entrance on the corner of Murworth Dr. and Kirby Dr.
    • Gate 9 at Kirby and Westridge
    • The NRG Stadium Box Office in Bud Lite Plaza, located on the south side of the stadium at 1 NRG Pkwy
  • NRG Arena
    • The south entrance, near the Maroon Lot
  • NRG Center
    • Gate 10 at McNee and Kirby
    • The building entrance on NRG Pkwy, near the flag poles

If you’re attending the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, they have a great interactive map of NRG Park on their website, which shows in detail where each of the buildings and parking lots are located, so you can see if there’s another meet up spot which would work best for your group.

What’s the traffic like at NRG Park?

NRG Park typically experiences heavy traffic during events, especially if there’s events going on at multiple buildings. For the least amount of traffic, arrive at least two hours prior to your event. You can expect moderate traffic arriving 1-2 hours early, and heavy traffic if you arrive less than an hour before your event’s start time.

Daikin Park (Formerly Minute Maid Park)

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zones

Drop-off and pick-up at Daikin Park can happen on these streets surrounding the stadium:

  • Crawford Street
  • Texas Ave
  • Hamilton Street
  • Preston Street

You can technically drop-off and pick-up on Congress Street as well, but we do not recommend using this street since it is not close to any of the entrances into Daikin Park. Make sure to check which entrances are open for your event so we can drop you off as close as possible to where you will be entering.

Are there event-day restrictions or closures?

For road closures and restrictions, visit Daikin Park’s road closures page before your event for the most up-to-date information. You can also call their guest services team at (713) 259-8000 for additional assistance.

Is there somewhere my bus can wait for me during the event?

Charter buses should park either on Bastrop Street or in Lot C, just three blocks east of US 59. Click here for the Daikin Park parking map that shows where the Bastrop Street parking is located.

These spots are limited and sell out quickly on game days, so we recommend arriving as early as possible to secure one for your vehicle.

Where can I tell everyone to meet after the game?

We recommend these spots as meeting places before heading to your charter bus:

  • The South Home Plate Entrance on Texas Ave
  • The Home Plate Entrance on Preston Street
  • Union Station on Crawford Street

What’s the traffic like at Daikin Park?

Daikin Park is in the heart of Downtown Houston, and experiences heavy traffic during rush hour, in addition to its typical game day traffic. If your travel plans overlap with rush hour, we recommend leaving at least a half-hour earlier than you would otherwise to account for the increased traffic. In some cases, you may want to leave an hour or more earlier, like if there is an event at the nearby Toyota Center, Shell Energy Stadium, or George R. Brown Convention Center.

Toyota Center

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zones

The Toyota Center has two zones for drop-off and pick-up, located at:

  • La Branch Street, next to the La Branch/Polk Street entrance
  • Lamar Street, one block east of the stadium off of Polk Street

Are there event-day restrictions or closures?

The Toyota Center often experiences road closures due to construction or special event requirements. View the interactive street closure map on their Toyota Center directions and parking page, or call their team directly at 713-758-7200.

Is there somewhere my bus can wait for me during the event?

There is no official charter bus parking or staging at the Toyota Center, but there are many bus-accessible lots nearby. The Toyota Center recommends looking at this map of parking lots in Downtown Houston to find an appropriate match for your vehicle, and then booking in advance to secure your spot.

Where can I tell everyone to meet after the game?

We recommend using one of the two main entrances as your meeting spot, which are:

  • The Bell Street Entrance, located between Jackson and La Branch
  • The La Branch Street Entrance, located on La Branch Street south of Polk Street

What’s the traffic like at the Toyota Center?

The Toyota Center is located in the Central Business District, and experiences many of the same traffic conditions as Daikin Park, which is only a few blocks away. Similar to Daikin Park, we recommend leaving at least a half-hour earlier if traveling during rush hour, and potentially an hour or more earlier if there is an event at the nearby Daikin Park, Shell Energy Stadium, or George R. Brown Convention Center.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zones

Bus drop-off and pick-up for Shell Energy Stadium is allowed on Bastrop Street, which is highlighted in green on this Shell Energy Stadium parking map from their website.

Is there somewhere my bus can wait for me during the event?

Charter bus parking at Shell Energy Stadium can be found on Bastrop Street, the same area you will use for drop-off and pick-up, and in Lot C, which is right next to Bastrop Street. Please know that parking on Bastrop Street is extremely limited, especially if there is an event at Daikin Park (they share the same bus parking area), so arrive as early as you can to help secure a spot for your vehicle.

Are there event-day restrictions or closures?

Capitol St. is closed from Chartres St. to the stadium during events. For the most up-to-date information on road closures for your specific event, call their team at 713-547-3000.

Where can I tell everyone to meet after the game?

Easy meet up spots at Shell Energy Stadium include:

  • The Intermex Gate, located on Emancipation Ave and Texas Ave
  • The Shell Energy Gate, located on Texas Ave
  • The team store entrance, located on Texas Ave between the Intermex and Shell Energy Gates

What’s the traffic like at Shell Energy Stadium?

Shell Energy Stadium is located in Downtown Houston, and experiences many of the same traffic conditions as its neighbor Daikin Park. Similar to Daikin Park, we recommend leaving at least a half-hour earlier if traveling during rush hour, and potentially an hour or more earlier if there is an event at the nearby Daikin Park, Toyota Center, or George R. Brown Convention Center.
